Intro to Yoga 3
with Barbara E. McGranahan
$69
Yoga has been around for 5,000 years and for good reason--“it works!” This is an excellent no impact exercise option to learn beginner poses, simple breathing exercises, and stretch/relaxation techniques. All of yoga’s transformative benefits through dynamic gentle movements focusing on increasing flexibility, releasing tension, and improving strength. The slow movement is linked with breath and postures entered gradually finding a static position to hold which enhances bone strength. The goal is to move away from the busy fast pace of our lives into a practice that is gentler, mindful and conscious, while receiving the abundant benefits of yoga.
Instructor Bio: I have three Bachelor degrees—Secondary Education (English), Nursing and Metaphysics. My teaching experience includes elementary, secondary, and university levels. My nursing career included Process Improvement and Clinical Operations consulting with a national proprietary home health corporation. And I transitioned to remote Utilization Management collaboration with hospital treatment teams specializing in regulatory standards. My transition to wellness practice education has afforded me a healthy lifestyle as well as an entrepreneurial opportunity outside of healthcare.
